STORY QUEST WALKS

With Instructor Julie Elledge, PhD

Linking Nature to Narrative to Magnify the Power of Each

As the first inspiration for storytelling, our earliest ancestors tamed their fears and made sense of the world in the natural landscape. In this course, you will dive into both ancient and modern stories and the techniques that actualize clients’ potential.

The power of nature centers clients using metaphor, narrative, exploring the power of words, and compelling quotes to unlock creativity and expression.

Story Quest Walks

Participants will learn the skills of applying the use of powerful questions, unraveling shadow stories, understanding the effectiveness and sensitivities of indigenous metaphors, applying nature-inspired ritual creation to unlock meaning-making, and much more. All while applying the transformational application of nature in coaching learned in the first course.

Objectives:

• Facilitate client insight and learning using the tools of nature and storytelling

• Challenge clients to explore beyond their current thinking with powerful questions and storytelling

• Develop the ability for the coach to use awareness of self and personal intuition to benefit the client
